This weekend has been very productive! the jacket for a good friend of mine has been almost completed (just a few buttons to sew on) and soon to be on stage eeeeeeeee!! some pants hemmed for another friend, and new art supplies and stationary was purchased...hurrah!
so i decided to make myself a new, much larger pencilcase, to fit all of my stationary needs so I don't forget them all when I go to uni! here it is!
made from two recycled curtains! standard..
can you tell i've been thinking about envelopes recently? just such useful objects!

hope you all have a delicious week

Tuesday 24 April 2012

I was flicking through photographs from boxing day this evening, and stumbled upon this delightful memory of running down to the park barefoot, camera in hand for an afternoon frolic and a few snaps in the glorious rose garden. I had just been given a beautiful 50mm lens for my camera for christmas, and remember having alot of fun capturing my sweet sister. next time... i will make her a summer dress to swan around in!

what a sweet sweet day,
love you cath,

design design design

Today I had design class, where I have just submitted a project to make laser-cut leather necklaces, inspired by pattern pieces. My teacher got so excited, and thought I should sell them, so over the holidays I foraged through many an op shop to find some pattern paper to make some packaging with...and ta daaa!! after many many prototypes, here they are, the envelopes in their new state of being, to hold my newly designed necklaces! now...just to wait on them to arrive back from the laser-cutter! eeeeeeeee

hannahs new hair-do

hannah felt a sudden urge to chop her hair off, so i put on my hairdressing cap and with the first snip she had a massive heart attack, and my hand slipped....

so she decided to take a stab at it
which turned out quite well!
so, as a habit of my mother, i savoured those beautiful locks of hers and made a necklace. only natural right? its just a displaced fringe now, and a sophisticated hannah...

what a productive evening. delightful. now my floor is dotted with snippings.
yet another brilliant ragventure..
there are more to come, tune in xxxx

rainy day mayhem

when it rains in canberra...
hannah and i took a trip to tilleys,

delicious chai teaaaa and cheeeesecake, such a treat.
